"Up to 28-45% of dogs have high total calcium (with normal ionized calcium) in Addison's disease. The hypercalcemia is thought to be due to enhanced absorption of calcium in the gastrointestinal tract, hemoconcentration, decreased GFR from volume contraction and increased complexing and protein binding of calcium. A component of decreased renal excretion may contribute. Replacement therapy with corticosteroids returns the calcium to normal within a few days."

S-Kalcium 2,7 mmol/L
S-Albumin 29 g/L
Enligt beräknaren ovan så landar han på:
Corrected calcium level: 2.92 mmol/L
Normal calcium levels (range): 2.2-2.6 mmol/L

Alltså ligger han för högt.
Måste bolla detta med veterinären - men hon sa igår att Eskil låg precis på gränsen till för högt kalcium och lågt i albumin, men utvecklade det inte vidare (eller så hörde jag inte). Borde inte det då också vara ett tecken på att han faktiskt går på för låg dos medicin i nuläget? Passar ihop med allt annat också: tappade muskler, generellt tröttare och så att han börjat dricka mer igen.
Vi ökade ju dosen till 6+6 Florinef från och med igår. Ska bli intressant att se om det har nån effekt.
